This journey began for me with my first tourism business, where I transitioned from no online payments to a fully integrated secure payment system, both online and in person. As a founding Director at New Zealand Trails, I was part of a team that launched this business with a successful customer-direct model, relying on direct online marketing and secure online payments to bypass traditional trade channels with their slow payments..

From 2021 to 2024, as part of the Ngāi Tahu Tourism Transformation team, I led the Project team in reviewing, selecting, and implementing a new bookings and payment system for the group. This project involved transitioning all nine businesses in the Ngāi Tahu Tourism group from the incumbent supplier to IBIS, which included secure online payments and onsite retail POS systems. The scope of this project also included integrating the new system with the Ngāi Tahu group’s backend ERP system, ensuring seamless financial reporting and management.

• Worldline (formerly Paymark): Network provider for POS payments.
• Smartpay: Hardware provider for POS systems.
• Individual Bank Merchant Services: Such as BNZ merchant services.
